US tech firm, whose CEO and chief human resources officer resigned after being caught on camera kissing at a Coldplay concert, released a sarcastic promotional video featuring Gwyneth Paltrow as a "temporary spokesperson".
In the 60-second clip posted on Astronomer's X account, Hollywood star Paltrow, who was married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for over a decade, says she wants to answer "the most" common questions the company has recently received.
The first question appearing on screen in the form of captions reads "OMG! What's the real f", to which Paltrow responds "Yes, Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow", she concludes her response by saying the company is "thrilled that so many people have a new interest in data workflow automation."
When a follow-up question asks how the company's social media team is handling the viral clip, Paltrow says there are still seats available for the upcoming conference.
At the end of the video, which has been viewed over 27 million times, Paltrow thanks the viewers for "showing interest in Astronomer" and says the company will now get back to doing what it does best.
Jordan Greaney, CEO of PR firm Profile, says the video is "very clever" and that the viral scandal "doesn't really impact the quality of their product."
Greaney says the company's goal was to raise brand awareness among the general public, so it wouldn't be known only for the CEO cheating.
Greaney compares it to the 2013 horse meat scandal, saying it wouldn't be appropriate to fill it with humor by personifying a horse and answering back.
But Greaney says while Astronomer might come out relatively unscathed, it's not the same for Andy Byron.
Byron was Astronomer's CEO for two years when he and Christine Cabot were caught on a giant screen at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on July 16.
Greaney says if he were involved in this situation, "I'd basically use the same strategy" as Astronomer.

Interest in Astronomer, which describes itself as "the best place to run Apache Airflow" - a product not developed by Astronomer - has surged since a video of its former CEO went viral, with some unverified reports saying the company's website has seen a 15,000% increase in visits.
The company was founded in 2018 and provides services for companies wanting to use artificial intelligence (AI).
Astronomer says it has worked with Apple, Ford, and Uber, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Pat Dejoy, co-founder and chief product officer, has been appointed as the company's interim CEO and can still see the positive side of all the attention.
The spotlight was unusual and surreal for our team, and although I never wished for it to happen this way, Astronomer is now a household name", he wrote on LinkedIn.
The company's only previous statement was on X, two days after the Coldplay concert.
"Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our inception. Our leaders are expected to set a standard in both behavior and accountability", the statement said, announcing a formal investigation.
Coldplay's Chris Martin saw the moment when Byron and Cabot were hiding from the camera on stage: "Either they're cheating, or they're just really shy."
And if you're wondering what kind of PR impact this has had on Paltrow's famous ex-husband and his band, Greaney thinks it's neutral.
"I don't think it increases their awareness... most of the public has one thing in their head, and that's the kiss camera video. It overshadows everything else."
