Donald Trump's golf course in County Clare has been confirmed as the venue for the 2026 Irish Open.
The Trump International Golf Links Ireland, located in Doonbeg, will host the event from September 10-13 next year, a week after hosting the Walker Cup between Great Britain and Ireland and the United States in Lahinch, also in Clare.
The resort, which opened in 2002, was purchased by the US President in 2014.
Rory McIlroy, the Masters champion, won this year's Irish Open in a dramatic playoff at the K Club in County Kildare on Sunday.
"We are incredibly proud that Trump Ireland has been selected to host the 2026 Amgen Irish Open," said Eric Trump, the President's son and executive vice president of the Trump Organization.
"This tournament is one of the most prestigious events in golf and its inclusion at Trump Ireland is a testament to the standard of excellence that has been maintained at this property."
This year, Trump's golf course in Aberdeenshire hosted the Nexo Championship on the DP World Tour, and last month the PGA Tour announced a return to Trump National Doral for the Miami Championship next spring.
The new location for the Irish Open has been confirmed as part of the 2026 DP World Tour schedule, which features 42 tournaments across 25 countries.
Like the British Masters, BMW PGA Championship, and the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, the Irish Open will continue to be played in the run-up to the season-ending playoffs.
The 2026 schedule includes three visits to Dubai, twice in January and for the season-ending tournament in November, and the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship has been added to the calendar in May.
In addition to the schedule, the DP World Tour has announced several changes to its membership structure.
From next season, the cut-off for maintaining a full card will be reduced from 110 to 100, and the number of cards available for the top finishers on the second-tier HotelPlanner Tour will be reduced from 20 to 15.
