
Sony Pictures has officially announced the casting of Mia McKenna-Brailsford as Maureen Cox, Soairse Ronan as Linda Eastman, Ana de Armas as Yoko Ono, and Emily Watson as Pattie Boyd for the upcoming four-part Beatles biopic directed by Sam Mendes.
The four women played significant roles in the lives of the Beatles members, with Maureen Cox meeting Ringo Starr, Linda Eastman meeting Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono meeting John Lennon, and Pattie Boyd meeting George Harrison.
The project, currently titled The Beatles: A Four-Picture Cinematic Event, was first announced in 2024 with plans for four separate films, one for each member of the band. The cast for the Beatles members was announced in April, with Paul McCartney being played by Paul Mescal, John Lennon by Himesh Patel, Ringo Starr by Barry Keoghan, and George Harrison by Joe Quinn. Award-winning screenwriters Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne have been hired to work on the films.
