NAIROBI — As a deadly Ebola outbreak spreads in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, one conspiracy theory is that non-governmental workers brought the disease in to get more money. Another is that the outbreak is being faked to scare the population and gain access to minerals, including gold.
